Tradeflame C02 (Carbon Dioxide) Gas is used for general purpose mild steel welding where the finished weld is not so important. C02 is a cold gas and has a chilling effect on the weld. Because of this chill a higher power setting is required. The advantage of C02 is that the gas will last approximately 3 times longer than Argon/C02 mix.
